"THE LONG REST" - New CD on the way!

The new CD "THE LONG REST", will be available soon.
The band already went to studio to lay down all the tracks in the new album.
The long time companions Vicky (drums) and Ruben Alves (piano), and the new members Ricardo Pinheiro (guitar) and Desidério Lázaro (sax) joined me in studio to record the new tunes.
Things worked out great!
Now taking care of edits, and moving on to mixing.
The album will be out in spring 2016, and I am very much looking forward to have everybody listen to it!

TRIOLOGY - debut CD out!

It is finally out the debut CD of the TRIOLOGY project. This is a guitar + bass + drums trio I put together with two good friends, and amazing musicians: Ricardo Pinheiro (guit) and Bruno Pedroso (dr).
These are two guys I know for a long a time, and have played with both in several ocasions. Bruno recorded a few tracks on my second CD "This is Home", and Ricardo was kind enough to call me to play on his CD "Song Form".
Our first goal was to make a few sessions just playing standards.
This is something I don´t have the chance to do much anymore. And it's still something I enjoy very much.
Jazz standards are always present in my practice routine, and in classes with jazz students. And I really enjoy having the chance to play this music with top musicians like Ricardo and Bruno..
We ended up recording a couple of pop tunes arranjed for this trio formation, along with the more traditional standards.
The whole album was recorded in one session, so it's quite a straigth, live performance.
